The weird things we drink, Pt. I

Waiter... there's a snake in my whisky

The Mexicans have their Tequila worms and the Laotians have their... snakes and scorpions.

At the small island of Don Sao in Laos (note to would be travellers: stay away), I saw dozens of bottles lined up at market stalls. As I got closer I could see that they all contained the local specialty: rice whisky with snakes or with scorpions.

Whisky Sour, anyone?

Welcome to my new photo blog

Instead of cluttering my thoughts on marketing with too many random photos over on my main personal blog, I decided to create a blog specifically for my photos. I hope to be able to update it on average twice a month with various photos from my travels and I'm looking forward to sharing these images (old and new) with you and getting your feedback so I can improve my photography.

Equipment:
At the moment, I'm using a small Samsung NV10 digital compact camera, which is always in my bag as well as my trusty Nikon D80 with an 18 - 70mm AF Nikkor zoom lens with Hoya UV filter and a Nikon SB-24 flash gun.
